OAC Resonance and Rhythm

Description

A new exhibit, Resonance and Rhythm, opens at the Oliver Art Center in Frankfort on Friday, October 25th with a special reception from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m and continues through November 30th. The exhibit highlights the work of four Michigan artists and focuses on the interplay of the abstract and the organic as showcased in the whimsical and sculptural wood furniture of John DeHoog and the playful yet sophisticated mixed media abstract paintings of Christy DeHoog Johnson. Michelle Krievins-Newman’s layered, color field paintings create a rhythmic balance against the geometries and patterns explored by Joan Richmond in her interpretive landscape paintings. Oliver Art Center is open Tuesday through Saturday 10:00 am – 4:00 pm and Sunday Noon – 4:00 pm.
