DESCRIPTION:Launching Memorial Day Weekend\, Michigan Legacy Art Park will offer Drop-In Art Projects for visitors of all ages. The Art Drop-In Days will begin Saturday\, May 28th and continue throughout the summer on Saturdays and select Sundays from 10:30am-1:30pm. The art projects are free with paid admission (adults $5\, children free). From pinecone art to pressed wildflowers to writing haiku\, join the Art Park every weekend for new projects. In particular\, Michigan Legacy Art Park is inviting the public to celebrate Michigan?s history by collaborating on the "The Pinecone Forest" on these drop-in days. This is an environmental art project that will be on display at the Art Park for the summer and fall. Participants are invited to create "pinecone trees" by tying cones to a 12-foot long piece of twine. This activity is supported by the Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs\, administered by Northwest Michigan Arts & Culture Network. It is also supported in part by a grant from Benzie Sunrise Rotary Club. To participate in the art projects\, drop-in between 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. on Saturdays and select Sundays. No reservations required\, just come as you are! This program is free with regular park admission ($5 adult\, children are free). Children must be accompanied by an adult.
