DESCRIPTION:The Oliver Art Center takes a fresh look at the landscape genre\, exploring it through the lens of several artists with a unique twist on the subject. Horizons: Alternative Landscapes will open with a reception on Saturday\, August 2 from 5:00   7:00 pm. The exhibit continues through September 5th. An artist talk will take place on Friday\, September 5 from 2:00   4:00 pm. Artists featured in the exhibit are Carl Serber of Clarkston\, Julie Tibus of Howell\, Ron Gianola of Honor\, Cody Winter of Toledo\, OH\, Adam VanHouten of Traverse City\, Anne Kindl of Saline and Sam Soet of Traverse City. The show will feature romantic realism and abstractions of the theme in a variety of media.
