DESCRIPTION:High-quality child care in Benzie County is essential to family well-being\, a strong workforce\, and a thriving community. Join us for a town hall meeting on June 27 at 7:00 Pm at Grow Benzie (in person and with a virtual option) to create solutions to our local childcare needs. We need to hear from you whether you are a parent\, employer\, educator\, or interested community member.\n\n \n\nBenzie County was one of six communities selected in the state of Michigan to receive support from First Children's Finance through the Rural Child Care Innovation Program. The Benzie Human Services Collaborative Early Childhood Workgroup has been working diligently for the past several months with First Children's Finance to better understand the complexities of the child care system in rural communities. We have sent out surveys to early childhood educators\, employers\, and parents. At the town hall\, local data and survey results will be shared along with time for creating innovative solutions to implement in the coming months.
